I met Lauren who showed me round and we discussed my dog Ozzy, whom I have been fostering and have just adopted. Ozzy has some particular needs, in order that the behavioural modification programme I am conducting with him, is not to be undone by events at a boarding establishment.
Being a full-time dog professional, I admit to being very picky about where my dogs go and because of Ozzy’s needs, he can not go where my other dog goes when I need boarding.
I was impressed with the range of accommodation and not least the thought that has gone into providing different types and locations of accommodation. Visual stimulation in respect of other dogs is a particular trigger-point for Ozzy and so the Spinney Block is ideal, being small and quieter with reduced visual stimulation.
I found Lauren to be very professional and someone who could understand my specific requirements for Ozzy and most importantly, the reasons for them.
Its quite unusual, in my experience, to have kennel staff with animal qualifications. Most are run by nice people who love dogs, but who know very little about them and are steeped in myths and wives’ tales about dogs, training and behaviour.
Consequently, I have confidence that A&A will follow my instructions to meet Ozzy’s needs and I will provide written instructions to complement my discussion with Lauren.
You have a new client!
I would just like to congratulate you for such a thoughtful set-up and give some positive feedback on how well I thought Lauren dealt with me.
